Just like armed robbers would cover their faces with masks when going for operations, kidnappers would use another person's phone number to contact their victim's family members and politicians would usually siphon money through another person's account, that is how husband and wife beaters will cover up their deeds with big titles like Pastor, His Excellency, Landlord, Woman Leader etc just to make them look responsible before the society but within, you wouldn't believe what is going on.

Do not fall a prey to one of those make belief people out there！Look well before you go into any form of relationship. Detest evil, act against it.

That is the way to go！

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DEFINITION

Since we are talking about domestic violence, we can as well do well by deriving a domestic violence definition. Simply put: It is a form of deprivation of freedom, humanity and sense of belonging meted out on someone by the act of dispossession of their dignity, honour and other valuables through beating, intimidation, excessive control and even manipulations！It could be verbal, emotional, psychological and even financial but in all, it is dehumanizing. Some valuables that can be taken away are self-esteem, honour, joy, peace of mind, gadgets etc.

To keep quiet when abused is to be a party to the crime itself. Even if you die, the society will still say all those things you wanted to make them not to say！Eyes are watching but the most capable hand to act is the hand of the one who is being abused.

Don't fall to the thinking that all men all holy！No, some of them are merely claiming to be so！Do not cover up crimes for another person so that when it is your turn, another person can speak up！

Anything that can be done should be done now！A lot of people are still being tied down by abusive partners！The case of Late Mrs. Osinachi Nwachukwu is just a tip of the iceberg. That, we are sure of because a lot of people have been crying out！The reason why hers made waves is because she happened to be a celebrity yet we can affirm to the fact that everybody is important. Your life is only a blessing to the nation if you do the right thing.

Controversy cannot stop the truth from being said！Some claim to be holy but they are not！Look well. Some of them already have a backup plan in case of your demise and some of them do not even value you even though you may think otherwise！

I am not trying to break your home but when things are not going well, voice them out！Do not endure to death if you know what life is all about. Partners who beat their own to death are not worth it.

Take the necessary steps, find out from around you and if the people you reported to are not doing anything, take your matter to another place. Chances are, you would be presented with various options, choose the best one！

Life first, then serve God because it is only the living that can praise  God！Stay alive and harvest the fruits of your labour.

We love it if people are living peacefully. So, congratulations if you are not in any abusive relationship whether psychological, emotional, verbal or otherwise！

The society is observing but you're the one to take actions！

DON'T JOIN PEOPLE IN KILLING YOURSELF

When I first published that book on Amazon, I spoke about secrecy. The reason is because it is not everything that you keep as a secret. The name of the book is THE TREASURES IN YOU and it is accessible always！The way that people used to decorate lies will make you to think that it is golden but if you join them in doing so, you become part of your killers！

Every member of our bodies has its function, the mouth is meant for speaking especially, what is true！

Let us not forget that most abusers have the ability to intimidate. In fact, they cage you into silence and act as predators while they feed on your financial, emotional and even psychological cries！The reason is because they would make you believe that nobody can come to your rescue！

Let us not feel intimidated in the face of all things but be articulated！ Do not empower the wrong people. Once you give them an undue advantage over yourself, they would use it against you.

Treat domestic violence as what it is. If you can report a thief to the necessary authorities then you can report an abuser because they are both crimes. If emotions cannot let you see clearly then you have to put it aside！

Open your eyes, keeping unholy secrets can make people kill you and still claim that you allowed it, open your mouth and speak, keeping a closed mouth does not make you any better. Shout！If you can and let neighbours bear you witness.

Life is not a joke！Do not mess around with yours！

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF

 History is said to have repeated itself if something that has happened before is allowed to happen again! We may argue that we do not have control over certain things but the ones that we can control, we should! We can control our mouths,  we can control our modes of dressing and we can control the way we interact with people! 

Do not bother to exert much control on people no matter who they're as people are more likely to act the way they want as they have minds of their own! As much as you can,  teach them to behave well.

No one can do without learning, it becomes a problem but when we understand the need for growth, we learn everyday and you know, knowledge has a way of upgrading us! When we try to control people, it becomes a problem because when they refuse, it might call for enforcement and you know, enforcement of laws is not your duty especially when it brings about violence. 

There is no need to live in a toxic environment. The world already has a lot of problems in it, coming back home to meet an angry face should not be added to it. As much as possible,  pacify your home but do not sacrifice your soul in doing so. 

Even if you die hoping that a man or woman might change from assaulting people,  he or she might remarry and continue with what his or she is knowing for doing! Come on. It is good to hope for a change in a person but while you are at it,  do not put your life in the line.

Allow what is normal but when it turns to extreme violence,  seek council,  defence and if possible,  take necessary steps towards securing yourself. 

Be a genius at self-preservation! 

AGONY DOES NOT LAST FOR LONG

 Well,  no matter how we see it,  there were times life was all blissful! We cannot cite them as excuses to remain in abusive marriage! Though,  I am not married yet,  I know that it is a bad thing to be done.

Let us not look circumstances in the faces and claim that they do not exit as doing so might amount in denying reality. We come from different walks of life yes but marriage means almost the same thing to us all. It is however not an avenue for meting out inhumane treatments on people.

The home should be a healthy ground for brooding healthy children,  healthy ideas and healthy environment. Let us look at it this way; some famous business in the world (even some that appear on the forbe's list) are know as family businesses! Imagine that the family is not together,  it would always spell disaster but when love,  unity and genuine care are there,  it becomes easy to forge ahead! Let us establish that for a prolonged happiness to be felt in a family,  domestic violence has to be jettisoned.

Young couples have this challenge of not knowing how to arrange their lives once united! The truth is that after wedding comes marriage! Be careful not to allow gossips creep in. Let us keep our minds but do not act on harmful thoughts especially when they affect other people adversely. 

Also take care of yourself! 

GOD LOVES EVERYONE

 To the best of my knowledge, it is true. God loves everyone especially those who identify with Him through Jesus Christ. Do not think that you're the worst one on Earth but that is not an excuse to continue doing what's wrong. 

There is something called a U-turn as a matter of driving. Do not continue on the wrong path if you find out that it is so! Dem no swear for you! The thing is that some people would know that what they are doing is wrong and they would still continue in it because of some kinds of unwholesome pleasures they derive from it. Beating your wife is not good. Maltreating your husband is not good and teaching your children,  your neighbours and the society at large the wrong thing is not good. If you don't know it,  know it now. 

There are somethings you want to hear but you will not hear them from me. You want to hear things like,  It doesn't matter,  whatever you do is good but you will not hear them from me! There are laws governing the society and when you break them,  there are adverse effects. The problem with domestic violence is that people practice it privately and cover up outwardly with big titles. 

All we are talking about is domestic violence,  stop it! 

THE PROBLEM WITH SOCIETY

 A lot of people are in abusive marriages because they are afraid of what the society would say as if the society is going to guarantee them a seat in heaven. As it stands, most people have had their hands tied to the back because of religion forgetting that the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to give us freedom and not bondage! The truth is that, no matter how we see it,  we wouldn't be talking about somethings if one didn't come up. There is no need for divorce where all is blissful.

Let us not be deceived,  Jesus Christ is going to come and rapture His saints on Earth but while we're at it, let us not die for nothing. Imagine the assumption that the society is going to judge one if one leaves one's marriage. Whether good or bad,  it is only the living that the society can judge! 

Let us get this straight: marriage is not for children. There are a lot of things that should be tolerated but not domestic violence as it leads to untimely deaths in some cases! Marriage is not for the wayward type. If you are in a hurry to run into marriage so that you can taste a man or woman,  run out of it and enter another one then there is a problem somewhere! Marriage is not for those who see it solely as a means of escaping poverty! In fact, it is not for the weak. 

You don't go into marriage simply because you think that you have come of age! You need to be mentally prepared. Permit me to say this, there is no perfect marriage on earth yet divorce is not easily an option. At least,  for the sake of sanity,  work well.

If you like,  read another meaning into this! As far as I am concerned, there is always a way out! Seek the right path. 

Marriage is not for you if you have settled in your heart to beat a man or a woman all in the name of disciplining him or her. Remember there are various options and go for the right one.

You can remain single or marry in peace but do not die in silence! Marriage is not all there is to live but find your happiness and go by it. 

I HAVE DATA

 That is why I can access the internet. So, somethings are prerequisites for another! You don't just wake up one morning at get married! No,  you need to be trained. At least, by observations. 

Ask yourself some vital questions so that you would know how to deal with some issues when you get into marriage! What your doing could be wrong and you still continue in it because your conscience is deadened! Today, we are talking about Sister Osinachi Nwachukwu,  tomorrow,  we wouldn't know who it's gonna be but I hope it never happens again.

Look around you and know if you're following the right people and if you are not, pull out at once! Jettison what they have told you that is wrong especially if they have trivialized the issue of beating one's spouse. 

Marriage is for better for all but once misinformation creeps in,  it becomes difficult to discover who is the culprit. We are not actually interested in who wins the argument,  we are more interested in knowing that you live well at all cost because pollution to the family is pollution to the society especially if it litters out! 

If you have formed the habit of keeping all things to yourself,  when you finally let them out,  people would wonder why you waited for so long. No matter the magnitude of problems you have, there could be someone who has the solution out there, just speak to the right persons. Keep an open mind and welcome the possiblity of having a change of stance on somethings.

As much as possible,  look onto God but do not be foolish because common sense is applicable.

Today,  remove beatings from your list. There are other ways to settle disputes especially if you know that domestic violence is a crime. Whether you admit it or not,  ignorance is not an excuse.

Do not feign ignorance when you are expected to know what works: cheating in marriage does not work! 

WE CELEBRATE BOLDNESS

 Yes,  we do. Not the deaths of people who died prematurely. Some people might argue that Late Mrs. Nwachukwu Osinachi died a martyr but I believe she died a victim. The dead has no voice. So,  anybody can say whatever he or she likes.

Pastor Peter Nwachukwu is being scrutinizied by the members of the social media community because they believe that he has a hand in the late Singer's death. It is not yet established yet but there is a strong evidence made available by her colleagues in the music industry who reportedly noted that the man used to harass her even in the presence of her children especially,  a renown song writer and gospel Artist who goes by the name,  Frank Edwards ha admitted that the man wasn't so kind to her! It becomes obvious that all these wouldn't have come up if there were no traces of such! 

There is no best way to go about this than to mourn the dead and hope it never happens again while we learn to apply wholesome knowledge in a quest of better days ahead. 

Let us not mix things up! We do not celebrate the deaths of those who died prematurely but boldness as their lives are seen as been cut short in an unnatural way! Some deaths could be gruesome. Do not be a victim but a victor! 

In all,  live well with others!

Addiction

 One of the major causes of problems in families is addiction. A person can be addicted to some awful things and the others are not comfortable with it. This can lead to several disputes with heated arguments at times. These arguments if not looked into,  at times,  can be brutal! 

Coming from a home ridden with domestic violence is bad because you would have a biased view of life and when this happens,  you might think that those coming from good homes with awesome tales to tell are boasting! Just as in the case of the late Osinachi,  it was alleged that the man reportedly told his children that beating a woman is good. Our society is exposed to such men and when nothing is done,  they would spread the misconception across with ease. 

Letting children know the truth is vital even though it may not suit your ego,  tell them. There is always a place for everything. Do not allow your children to be empty of filled with chaff especially if they that come of age. 

The following are some of the things that one can be addicted to which are not good:

1. Nicotine 

2. Extravagant spending

3. Unnecessary nagging

4. Coming home late

5. Complaining about everything and always looking for who to blame.

6. Giving excuses rather than results where expected.

7. Exploring false religion

8. Hearing gossips

9. Drug

10. Having criminal tendencies.

11. Womanizing and vice versa

12. Drunkenness

13. Illegal deals.

There could be other things but what is wrong is wrong. Let us now look within ourselves and know that there are solutions to these! 

Do not be an enemy of progress. When your husband or wife is going higher in life,  allow him or her. As much as possible,  be a good person. 

There is no measurement to what honesty can do if applied normally. In every dealing,  be honest.

We these,  we understand that problems are solvable. 

BLATANT LIARS EVERYWHERE

 When we say that a person is a blatant liar,  it means that the person hardly says the truth. Such a person can be found almost everywhere.

A society devoid of malice is what we envisage but when it is not forthcoming,  marriages become toxic. A toxic marriage is devoid of joy,  understanding or even corporation which of course is necessary for progress. Growth in life does not stop when we go into marriage. It is only distracted by marriage when we go in with the wrong person. 

Don't get me wrong. Marriage is good but marrying the wrong person sets the foundation for destruction. When marriage is toxic,  its future is blink,  the lives of the children are slightly truncated and the life of either or both parties are in danger! The reason is because it doesn't matter who is winning or losing and when the results are made known,  the society is affected and that,  adversely. 

Just look at as in the case of Late Mrs. Nwachukwu Osinach,  the EKWUEME Singer in which the husband comes out to say that he was innocent. With the wife gone,  nobody knows which one is true but evidence abound yet they claimed it was as a result of cancer ailment. Domestic violence as it applies to Nigeria is a very big issue because everybody wants to show superiority. 

Life is not all about violence. Marriage is not all about bitterness. We can do better! While we are at that,  we can hope for a better tomorrow. 

Raising children in an non-conducive environment is a threat to the society as they live to manifest what has been inculcated in them through several observations. Try to keep your soul clean by doing what's right! 

Addiction is a bad thing,  stay away from it.

I AM GUILTY

 Just so we know, this blog is powered by a human being. I am not particularly guilty of domestic violence as an act. Rather,  I am guilty of some societal vices of which I am working on to erase and come out clean. The society in which I live in is not perfect. Neither am I. 

So,  let's take it this way. Talking too much is a societal vice even though it could be personal. Let us establish the point that tolerance is needed in every issue if happiness must be reached. The reason is because you cannot get a perfect husband or a perfect wife out there,  accept it. If you eventually do then just know you married one of those gods or goddesses out there which practically are not allowed to have marital affairs with humans! Even at that,  only God is perfect. 

There are handsome young men and beautiful young ladies out there who are hellbent on making their lives better with each passing day but there are those who do not care! Know which set you belong in and know what to do whether to continue in it or to retrace your steps! Whichever one,  learn to explore your world so that you don't make mistakes.

Marriage is not about big weddings even though they are important. Let us understand the purpose of living together as husbands and wives before we venture into it! 

It is true that the society is a large body of water but it is not compulsory that you should mingle with every fish in it. In all, avoid domestic violence and watch well. 

For the days ahead,  renew your zeal for a peaceful conduct!
