History is said to have repeated itself if something that has happened before is allowed to happen again! We may argue that we do not have control over certain things but the ones that we can control, we should! We can control our mouths, we can control our modes of dressing and we can control the way we interact with people!
Do not bother to exert much control on people no matter who they're as people are more likely to act the way they want as they have minds of their own! As much as you can, teach them to behave well.
No one can do without learning, it becomes a problem but when we understand the need for growth, we learn everyday and you know, knowledge has a way of upgrading us! When we try to control people, it becomes a problem because when they refuse, it might call for enforcement and you know, enforcement of laws is not your duty especially when it brings about violence.
There is no need to live in a toxic environment. The world already has a lot of problems in it, coming back home to meet an angry face should not be added to it. As much as possible, pacify your home but do not sacrifice your soul in doing so.
Even if you die hoping that a man or woman might change from assaulting people, he or she might remarry and continue with what his or she is knowing for doing! Come on. It is good to hope for a change in a person but while you are at it, do not put your life in the line.
Allow what is normal but when it turns to extreme violence, seek council, defence and if possible, take necessary steps towards securing yourself.
Be a genius at self-preservation!
