A lot of people are in abusive marriages because they are afraid of what the society would say as if the society is going to guarantee them a seat in heaven. As it stands, most people have had their hands tied to the back because of religion forgetting that the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to give us freedom and not bondage! The truth is that, no matter how we see it, we wouldn't be talking about somethings if one didn't come up. There is no need for divorce where all is blissful.
Let us not be deceived, Jesus Christ is going to come and rapture His saints on Earth but while we're at it, let us not die for nothing. Imagine the assumption that the society is going to judge one if one leaves one's marriage. Whether good or bad, it is only the living that the society can judge!
Let us get this straight: marriage is not for children. There are a lot of things that should be tolerated but not domestic violence as it leads to untimely deaths in some cases! Marriage is not for the wayward type. If you are in a hurry to run into marriage so that you can taste a man or woman, run out of it and enter another one then there is a problem somewhere! Marriage is not for those who see it solely as a means of escaping poverty! In fact, it is not for the weak.
You don't go into marriage simply because you think that you have come of age! You need to be mentally prepared. Permit me to say this, there is no perfect marriage on earth yet divorce is not easily an option. At least, for the sake of sanity, work well.
If you like, read another meaning into this! As far as I am concerned, there is always a way out! Seek the right path.
Marriage is not for you if you have settled in your heart to beat a man or a woman all in the name of disciplining him or her. Remember there are various options and go for the right one.
You can remain single or marry in peace but do not die in silence! Marriage is not all there is to live but find your happiness and go by it.
